Seth is thrilled to present Tina Fey with her Matrix Award because she has always been the Oprah to his Gayle. The two met while working together on "Saturday Night Live."

Before focusing his attention solely on "Update," Meyers was a regular player in sketches, performing numerous characters and impressions, most notably, an uncanny portrayal of Senator John Kerry for the show's satire of the 2004 Presidential election.

A graduate of Northwestern University, he studied and performed at ImprovOlympic (where many "SNL" cast members and writers got their start, including past cast members Rachel Dratch, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler) before moving on to the Boom Chicago Theater in Amsterdam, Holland. His acclaimed show "Pick-ups and Hiccups" with partner Jill Benjamin toured Europe and eventually caught the eye of "SNL."

Most recently, Meyers is one of the Executive Producers on the "SNL" sketch turned feature film "MacGruber" due out May 21.

Katie Couric is the anchor and managing editor of the "CBS Evening News with Katie Couric," a "60 Minutes" correspondent and anchor for CBS News primetime specials. When the "CBS Evening News with Katie Couric" debuted on September 5, 2006, Couric became the first female solo anchor of a weekday network evening news broadcast.

Katie is thrilled to present Anne Keating with a Matrix Award because "Anne is the ultimate 'go-to' person - always supporting everyone in anyway she can, and I am honored to be her 'go-to' person and share what an amazing person she is professionally and personally."

Prior to the "CBS Evening News," Couric completed a 15-year run as co-anchor of NBC News' "Today" on May 31, 2006. While at NBC, Couric was also contributing anchor for "Dateline NBC." She was a "Today" substitute co-anchor from February 1991 before taking over the job permanently two months later. Couric joined NBC News in 1989 as deputy Pentagon reporter before serving its first national correspondent in June 1990, which included two stints covering the Gulf War.

Couric has covered most of the major breaking news events over the past 15 years, including the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center; the Columbine tragedy in Colorado; six Olympic Games, including the 1996 Atlanta Olympic bombing; the funeral of Princess Diana; the Oklahoma City bombing; the Timothy McVeigh execution; the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings; and the end of millennium coverage, which she co-anchored with Tom Brokaw.

She has interviewed an extraordinarily diverse collection of newsmakers, from presidents and prime ministers to captains of industry and cultural icons. She has interviewed Presidents Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, along with all of the major presidential candidates over the past several elections. Couric has also sat down with Vice President Dick Cheney, Colin Powell, Madeleine Albright, Sandra Day O'Connor and First Ladies Laura Bush, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Reagan, Rosalynn Carter, Betty Ford and Lady Bird Johnson.

After losing her husband, Jay Monahan, to colon cancer in 1998, Couric embraced the fight against the country's number two cancer killer. In March 2000, Couric launched the National Colorectal Cancer Research Alliance in association with the Entertainment Industry Foundation and Lilly Tartikoff, to fund new medical research in colorectal cancer and to conduct educational programs encouraging the prevention and early detection of the disease through proper screening. Following Couric's on-air colonoscopy in 2000, a scientifically documented 20% increase was noted in the number of colonoscopies performed across the country. Researchers at the University of Michigan dubbed this "The Couric Effect."

Born in Arlington, Virginia, Couric graduated with honors from the University of Virginia in 1979 with a bachelor's degree in English and a focus on American studies. She currently lives in New York with her two daughters.

My favorite Matrix memory, to date, was last year. While I was sitting on the dais watching all these amazing and inspiring women accept their awards, I became increasingly excited to be at the helm of this fantastic organization as its President this year.
- Denise Warren, New York Women in Communications President

The year I won the Matrix, I was seated on the dais along side Caroline Kennedy. We were chatting for quite a while and my friends and family thought we were involved in a heady conversation about education, politics or world peace. But what we talked about was:
1. Why I was allowed to bring my handbag on the stage, when hers was taken away. 2. If I could share her pencil, as we were both making myriad changes to our respective speeches and were quite nervous about the time limits. 3. The fact that neither of us wanted to eat because, heaven forbid, we'd need to apply our lipstick in full view of thousands of people.

Kennedy or not, she was the most down to earth "celebrity" I'd ever met, and that was a memory I'll never forget. And, of course, getting the Matrix award wasn't half bad either.
- Linda Kaplan Thaler, New York Women in Communications President-Elect

I guess it would be 2002, the year that former President Bill Clinton presented the Matrix to Helen Thomas of the White House Press Corps. I was seated up in the balcony section - which has the best views of the stage - and I thought that this moment in time is what the Matrix Awards are all about. Honoring a woman in communications who blazed the trail to the highest levels of our profession, and having that award presented by the 42nd President of the United States. It was inspiring, energizing and just really cool. These are the women I want to keep in my life, I thought. The women on that stage and in this room truly are Women Who Change the World, and I want to always be a part of this.
- Joan Cear, New York Women in Communications Foundation President

Novelist, social critic and former Newsweek and New York Times columnist Anna Quindlen has provided audiences with her perspective on events of the day for more than 30 years, while delicately balancing the political with the personal.

Quindlen is thrilled to present a Matrix Award to honoree Ina Garten because "she has presented to me, and my family, for many many years. Indonesian ginger chicken. Coconut cupcakes. She has never steered us wrong, and we owe her a debt of gratitude for many happy, and easy, meals. She is the queen of modern home cooking, and I'm one of her millions of acolytes. I just happen to be lucky enough to be able to e-mail her and say, 'How long do you cook those steamed potatoes with herbs again?' Last time I did that, she wrote right back and wanted to know about the rest of the meal, and who was coming to dinner. That's Ina--approachable, good-natured, and wild about the kitchen. Her enthusiasm is infectious. If food is love, she's Cupid."

A Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and bestselling author, Quindlen recently retired from her Newsweek column of ten years, "The Last Word," though she will continue to write pieces for the magazine. She began her career at age 18 as a copy girl, joining The New York Times a few years later. Starting off as a general assignment reporter, she eventually became the third woman in the paper's history to write for its influential Op-Ed page when she began her award-winning column "Public and Private."

Her bestseller, "One True Thing," was made into a film starring Meryl Streep and Renee Zellweger, and her bestsellers "Blessings" and "Black and Blue" were both made into TV movies. Her novel, "Rise and Shine," debuted on The New York Times bestseller list at #1, and "A Short Guide to a Happy Life" has sold more than one million copies. Her most recent book "Good Dog. Stay." is about her beloved black Labrador, Beau. She is currently working on a new novel, "Every Last One," to be released on April 13, 2010.

Chair of the Board of Trustees at Barnard College, she is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and holds honorary degrees from more than a dozen American universities.

In 1995, Maria became the first journalist to report live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange on a daily basis where she covered breaking news for the network's unscripted and fast-paced business morning program, "Squawk Box."
